Florida licenses massage therapists at the state level through the Board of Massage Therapy under the Department of Health. Licensure requires 500 clock hours at a board-approved school, a 10-hour Florida Laws and Rules course, passing the MBLEx, and a fingerprint background screening. Renewal runs every two years with 24 hours of continuing education.
